Das Diak:
Community of the brothers and sisters
Community of the brothers and sisters
We are more than a thousand women and men of different ages and standings, who have been called into diaconal service by the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We see a future in the manifold ways of commitment to our fellow human beings, and want to help shaping that future.
The members of our community try to take up the challenges of our time and to be torchbearers of hope.
Aims:
The members of the Community of the Nurses of Schwäbisch Hall work in companionship with all employees of the Diak.
- The community is called upon by the Gospel to protect life and commit itself to justice and reconciliation.
- Its members acknowledge this task in its various areas of work, over and above their time of active service.
- The community is guided by the Christian image of humanity.
- It takes an active part in socially important bodies or committees, and takes a stand on relevant issues - on a communal and regional as well as national level.
