The Protestant Social Welfare Work Schwäbisch Hall (registered charity) works with a board of three persons:
- Director: Reverend Stephan M. Zilker
- Mother Superior: Reverend Jenny Robbert
- Director of Administration Peter W. Altmayer
The Assembly of Members and the Administrative Committee are the supervising bodies responsible of the Work as a whole.
At present, the Diak as a whole is employing 2.370 people in its various areas. Aside from the central areas - help for people with disabilities, diaconal hospital, nursing homes, municipal day care and training/ further vocational education - many employees work in the Centre for Administration and Supply (Zentrale Verwaltung und Versorgung, ZVV'), which consists of the following departments:

- Personnel and Organisation
- Home Economics
- Planning and Building
- Department Technical Department
- Supply and Waste Management
- Landscape Gardening
- Housing
- Day Care for Children
